Saffron tour & San Gimignano

Saffron was considered gold by Tuscans in the ancient past. This delicious and colorful spice grows and can be tasted in the San Gimignano area. Farms with great views on the Medieval towers of San Gimignano will be happy to show us how they grow saffron and let us taste this delicacy. We will have time to visit San Gimignano too of course.
Duration: from 2 to 5 hours, depending on the itinerary. Including lunch, free time in San Gimignano, and transfer from your accommodation back and forth.*Bea's suggestion: October is the month for the Saffron harvest, when you will see its beautiful and purple flowers blooming.
